درب المهابيل

Khadija (Berlanti Abdel Hamid) lives in a working-class neighborhood with her parents. She saves any money she can to help her lover, Taha (Shukry Sarhan), who works for a stingy wheelbarrow operator, get married. Taha buys a lottery ticket hoping to win first prize so they can get married. He gives it to his lover to keep, but her religious father throws it away because it’s against their religion. The neighborhood madman finds it and, as luck would have it, it wins first prize. The calm of the neighborhood turns into chaos as everyone wants a piece of the money.
