باب الحديد

(Qanawi) is a mentally unbalanced Upper Egyptian newspaper vendor who works at Cairo’s train station. He is madly in love with (Hanouma), a soda bottle seller, but she loves (Abu Saree’) who also works at the station and they plan to get married together. This makes (Qanawi) frustrated at his inability to win her heart, which pushes him to do something foolish and crazy.
