Afaf is a girl whose soul is filled with evil, enslaved by greed, and driven by envy and hatred, who rush to the path of seduction charted for her by her lover, Hamed. This drives her to betray her father, the money changer in Adham’s department, and she steals money from his custody. Her father dies of grief, cursing her. Her brother, Mohsen, whom Adham appoints as the department’s director, tries to fix her situation, but she rebels. She takes advantage of the kindness of Adham’s daughter, Houria, and sets her net around Adham, so he marries her. She treats Houria harshly and plots against her with her father.
