Following the catastrophic events in New York City with the Avengers, Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, lives quietly in Washington, D.C., trying to adjust to the modern world. But when one of his fellow S.H.I.E.L.D. members is attacked, Steve becomes entangled in a web of conspiracies that threaten to endanger the world. Teaming up with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while battling professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full extent of the sinister plot is revealed, Captain America and Black Widow enlist a new ally in the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves facing an unexpected and formidable enemy – the Winter Soldier.
