After the death of District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman takes responsibility for Dent’s crimes to protect the late attorney’s reputation, and is hunted by the Gotham City Police Department. Eight years later, Batman meets the mysterious Selina Kyle and the villain Bane, a new terrorist leader who has overshadowed Gotham’s best men. The Dark Knight resurfaces to protect the city that has branded him an enemy.
